24 year old Alex Cudlin has continued his stunning 2010 form by clinching 2 more race
victories in Qatar.

Just 2 weeks after winning his first Endurance World Cup, Alex lined up on the Qatar
circuit to contest the 2010/2011 Qatar International Road Racing Championships.

Riding for team QERT, in the relentless Qatari heat, Alex showed his World winning
pace by claiming pole position ahead of current Moto 2 Grand Prix rider Mashel Al
Niami

.

Race 1 proved be to a battle like no other, with the top 2 riders trading positions every
2nd to 3rd corner during the 15 lap battle, both riders eager to win the opening race of
the new season. Each rider managed to go blow for blow, matching what the other rider
dished out. Cudlin eventually came out on top in the thriller race, winning by a mere
0.054 of a second.

"Race one was really exciting. Mashel and I battled extremely hard. We both wanted to
win the race. There were a few corners that we actually touched during the race. It was
a really good fight and I was happy to have won the battle. I misjudged the tempureture
of the circuit before the race and decided to go with a slightly harder suspension set
up, which didn’t work in my favour. It’s certainly something we will look at in race 2
"
Cudlin said after race one.

After talks with his mechanics Alex chose to change the rear suspension in a hope to find
more grip on the technical circuit and it worked.

Taking off from pole position in the second race, Alex met with an aggressive Mashel Al
Niami and Mashel’s younger brother, Sultan, in the first corner. Alex settled into third
position before making his move into second place at corner 10 on the first lap.

He then set out after a fast charging Al Niami. Mashel set a blistering first lap moving out
to a 1.9 second lead. It was then down to Alex to turn the deficit around and try to claim
his 2nd victory of the day. Alex then set an extremely fast pace, closing the gap on Al
Niami by lap 4, passing him to claim the lead. Alex then continued his surge of speed,
gapping Al Niami to eventually finish the 15 lap race with an unbeatable 14 seconds
lead!

"That was much a much better race for me. I got off to a slow start and Mashel was
motoring pretty hard. I knew the change we made to the suspension would work, so it
was down to me to make up the gap and try and win. I managed to haul in Mashel then
once I made my pass, I set about putting together a mistake free 11 laps. I managed to

lap faster and faster once out in front and was able to cruise to a good win. I’m obviously
happy to have claimed a perfect result with Pole, 2 wins and fastest lap in both races.
Im sure Mashel will come back swinging in Round 2 and I’m looking forward to the
challenge"
Cudlin remarked.

Alex has now returned to his home base for 2 weeks where he will continue his training
regime before contesting Round 2 in late December.
